TOTAL MOBILITY SCHEME 
The Hub can arrange assessments to determine your eligibility to receive a Total Mobility card that gives you a subsidy for taxis and Driving Miss Daisy. The scheme is jointly funded by Horizons Regional Council and NZ Transport Agency to assist people with disabilities or those who need support with transportation.

A fun shared environment where you can explore your creativity, share your skills or learn new skills. Upcycling & mending reusable items & clothing or create new clothing.  We have weekly craft themes & projects. BYO projects or sewing. We have facilitators here to help you. Te Whare Mahana is developing some new activities, in addition to those listed above. If you’d like to share your skills and knowledge with others and get involved, or if you would like to start a group we’d love to hear from you. 

Some of the new activity ideas being developed include:
• Art therapy – A group for participants to use art therapy to explore ideas, resolve issue, heal, manage stress and anxiety and live more fulfilling lives.
• A series of environmental sustainability workshops – A group for people to revive and share skills with others or learn new skills that are cost effective enhance sustainability and care for the environment. Ideas may include making soap, beeswax sheets, kombucha, upcycling clothes, recycling and art, preserve making, and more. 
• Gardening – A group to help people successfully grow vegetables and herbs in limited spaces that are easy accessed and managed. 
• Anxiety and depression support group – A group for adults who are experiencing anxiety and depression.
